Stickybeaks invade a man's privacy On Thursday I was running over the Anzac Bridge on the cycle/walkway. Up ahead I saw a big crowd had gathered and there was an ambulance on the bridge. As I ran by I saw a man was lying on the ground receiving CPR - it didn't look good, he was in serious trouble. What I found amazing was the number of people just watching this traumatic scene. I would guess there were 25 or more. These people seemed to think it was just fine to use this situation as entertainment. When did it become acceptable to watch a man in such distress? Have we all watched too much Grey's Anatomy, All Saints and ER that we believe we have a right to intrude in such private moments? Not to mention getting in the paramedics' way.I found it disgusting and hope these people don't one day find themselves in the same situation.John Kane RozellePowerful logicAs a 100 per cent green power customer, my quarterly bill happily informs me that I have added zero tonnes of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. So my power bill increase will be much less because I have no CPRS component to pay ("Households to feel pinch as price of power soars", March 19). That would be a correct assumption - wouldn't it?Brendan Jones AnnandaleAbbott alternativeLife's funny. I looked at the same evidence as Patsy Lloyd (Letters, March 19) about Tony Abbott's critics, and then came to the opposite conclusion.Paul Parramore SawtellThe art of waitingWe have heard a great deal about the negative side of the queues for the Masterpieces of Paris exhibition. We put a much more positive spin on it during our two-hour wait.My wife passed the time with the Herald doing the crossword and Sudoku and I recalled the words of the poet William Henry Davies: "What is this life if, full of care/We have no time to stand and stare."Harvey Sanders PaddingtonSecond lifeSorry, Craig Keller (Letters, March 19), but the pre-recorded playing of the Orion Centre Wurlitzer does not qualify as live music, just as the operation of a player piano does not.Jim Dewar North GosfordDon't mention itAs an atheistic, non-cycling smoker who places more faith in a chair than a GPS system, may I thank all your correspondents this week who made it unnecessary for me to write to you (until now).Mark Weeks Elizabeth Bay
